A group of researchers somewhere in the U S of A decided to waste a lot of money making a cool 3D screen, using water. 50 computer controlled needles, capable of dropping 60 drops of water a second, drip water which is then illumited by a projector creating a 3D image. It has the distinct advantage that it does not require 3D glasses. All this is incredibly complex and needs to be crazily precise, hence costs shitloads. This
video shows them playing tetris using the water-based 3D screen..looks pretty terrible to be honest and I for one would not want to play guild wars on that.
Well I hoped you enjoyed me reciting a news article I read over someones shoulder on the tube this week, so could not remember all the interesting statistics and details, and couldn't be bothered to research them.
Since I also can't be bothered to do anything productive and I'm on holiday at the moment, I plan to spam the forum with useless posts..something to look forward to! And will force Sawyer to think up a new and even more awesome forum rank for me
